My September Favorites – 2016

Hey Guys!

Fall is officially here! I hope you had a great September, with all the Back-to-School / work in full swing. Here are the products I’ve been using constantly this month.

My September 2016 Favorites : Beauty & Fashion

Coach Embossed L-zip Wristlet

In September I had a lot of fun at the Parisian luxury outlet stores in La Vallée Village. My current favorite SLG is the Coach Embossed L-zip wristlet that I got for a great bargain. I use it every day at work.

I also find it quite useful as a pocket to hold my phones in my bags that don’t have built-in a dedicated phone slip pocket. I leave my most used phone standing vertically and can easily reach in my bag to get my phone.

I just reviewed in My Perfect Wristlet post so go check out the full review if you missed it.

Just love this little piece with its rich Burgundy color perfect for fall!

NYX Lip lingerie in Embellishment

I was so pumped when a NYX store finally opened in Paris. I blogged about its opening and my haul. I love the Lip Lingerie in Embellishment, this color is perfect for fall. It’s a unique color and I don’t have anything like it in my collection. It’s  a gorgeous muted purple with a hint of grey.

I can’t say it’ll go with every skin tone, but this  is not a nude color that’ll wash you out or make you look dead. It’s deep enough to really stand out while still being muted. Quite a feat in my book!

I do find it drying so I apply clear lip balm over it. I don’t recommend applying it under the liquid lipstick as it won’t allow for a smooth application. I don’t care that applying lip balm might actually take away the full matte effect initially. To me it’s still pretty matte and more importantly it’s comfortable to wear.

Estée Lauder Sumptuous Infinite Mascara in 01 Black

Estée Lauder Sumptuous Infinite

The mascara I’ve been loving this month is from Estée Lauder. I don’t even need a primer underneath which I usually like to make my lashes extra dramatic. This mascara is very black and gives both volume and length.

I can’t really attest to it holding a curl, because my lashes are naturally curled so I don’t necessarily see the benefits of a curling mascara.

It doesn’t flake but can smudge a little on the lower lash line, so I skip using it there. I do need to reiterate that I have combo skin, so on drying skin you might not experience smudging at all.

I also really love the natural bristles brush, it’s not too big or too small. It separates my lashes just fine.

Clinique : Take the day off

With my recent dive into liquid lipsticks, I decided to go back to an oldie but a goodie in the makeup remover department : Clinique Take the Day Off. This oil based remover is one of the best on the market in my opinion.

I just pour some on a cotton pad, then let the pad rest for a couple seconds against my lips. When I start to gently swipe across them, the longest lasting liquid lipsticks just come right off, without me having to scrub on my sensitive lips.

I also enjoy using this for any waterproof make up, eyeliner, mascara you name it. This trick is to let the product sit a bit on the eye first so the oil has the chance to start breaking the makeup down. I don’t have sensitive eyes, but no one needs to be tugging too forcefully on the delicate skin there. Premature wrinkles no thank you!

Ted Baker Bangles

I’ve reviewed my Ted Baker Jewelry Collection at the beginning of September, and I have to say every since I got my Ted Baker bangles I’ve been wearing  a combination of them every week.

I really enjoy how they glam up an outfit while still be work appropriate and not over the top. I like mixing metals, so I often pair the gold bangles with the rose gold sandwiched in the middle.
