If you’ve been following me on Instagram you know that I’ve been travelling to New York City during the first week of November. I had a blast and will be blogging about it soon.
There are so many things to do, places to see and food to taste but I still managed to save time for an essential occupation squeezed in between catching up with family and friends, sightseeing and eating : why I’m talking about shopping of course!
Aside from Sephora #1 on my list – in case you hadn’t guessed already (wait for the coming post ;)), Victoria’s Secret was a good second runner. Of course I chose to go to the Flagship store (the one next to Macy’s) on 1328 Broadway & Herald Square. It has doubled in size from the original with an additional 30,000 square feet of space, and was re-imagined, renovated, and re-opened in October, 2012.
It now features :
- Three stories
- Italian marble floors
- Custom chandeliers with Swarovski crystals
- Historical display of milestones for the Victoria’s Secret brand
- Video walls with Victoria’s secret angel models and fashion show footage
- A select-your-own fragrance perfumery
- Beauty department on every floor
- Pink collection with a separate entrance
- Special New York City collection
The store is really beautiful and nicely lit. It was already all decorated for Christmas. After a lot of fun browsing, here are the items I purchased:
The Dreamer Henley Pajama
I wanted a nice Pajama for this winter and love Victoria’s Secret jammies. They are so comfy while still being cute, whimsical and sexy at the same time! I hesitated with a flannel one but finally settled on the Henley. It’s a two piece set : a slim-fit Henley tee and a cozy, lightweight flannel pant, with modal for extra softness. It even comes with a nice matching eye mask, perfect for recovering from jetlag even during the day light hours!
The pros :
- Lightweight, slim-fit top is soft and stretchy, with long sleeves and contrast satin trim
- Easy-fit pant with satin drawstring and side pockets
- Cozy, lightweight flannel pant for warmth without the weight
- Washed for extra softness
- Imported cotton/modal
The cons none ! At 52.34€ it’s really worth it. It comes in more than twenty shades so you’ll be bound to find a color combination that suits you. I was feeling the holiday season, so I went with the Pink Presents color. Who doesn’t like presents and snowflakes? The slim fit tee is grey with sparkly silver threads running through which really adds a nice flare to your night wear.

Victoria’s Secret Fantasies Fragrance Mist
The Fragrance Mists are a very popular item and a go to Victoria’s Secret from their beauty range. I’m bringing it back for a friend since unfortunately you can’t find VS in France.
I chose the Such a Flirt fragrance. It’s floral with starfruit and white orchid. This sheer mist is made to mix, blend and play for a custom scent. You can make your own scent by mixing two or more Fragrance Mists. .Its price point is 17.29€ which is very reasonable for 8.04 fl oz or 250ml.
Victoria’s Secret Sparkle Gloss Lip Shine
I had never tried anything from VS make-up line and so I just couldn’t pass up on the opportunity. This Sparkle gloss lip gloss is very sheer and only adds shine to your lips, as you can tell from the photo swatch bellow. It can be a good topper over a nice lipstick but wouldn’t enhance its color. This was sort of a bummer, because I love very pigmented make up whether in gloss form or eye shadows. If I just want clear shine, I can always use a lip balm. I guess the name could have tipped me off, it is a lip shine after all and shine it does. However I would say it actually sparkles.
The lip gloss is not overly sticky so it’s comfortable to wear but it doesn’t have that absolute no stickiness some brands achieve. The color is in 3CN which I don’t like because I’m not a numbers person, I want names to be fun to remember.

Lace Trim Cheeky Panties

VS is most known for its lingerie. So I couldn’t leave without purchasing me some naughty knickers ! I went for the Cheeky Panties because they are comfier to me than thongs and as VS says they’re a “sweet way to show a little cheek”. Too cute! They come in a variety of rainbow colors and print but I went for the solid color in Neon Nectar with lace trim. Starting from 12€ you can have fun without breaking the bank.
They feature :
- Front bow and lace trim
- Low rise
- Minimal back coverage
- Imported polyester/spandex
I definitely recommend you check them out.
Even if you don’t wish to purchase anything popping into the Victoria’s Secret flagship store will be a fun experience. The staff are kind and the products fun to browse through.
I still regret that they stopped their on line clothing line which I was big fan of and only kept the PINK line. I’m not a sporty fashion girl so while PINK is fun it’s not my everyday style.
Let me know if you like VS and have seen the Flagship store in NYC.
