3 | Invite 3 of your favorite Bloggers to join the challenge
This is just a suggestion and a way to connect with other bloggers but if it isn’t your cup of tea then no worries participation isn’t mandatory 🙂 !

The wonderful Adora Myers
I’m adding a bonus : A woman consumed by wander lust
Enjoy!
So I’ve decided to dedicate each Day of this Quote Challenge to the topics relevant to my blog.
Day 1 : will be on Blogging – obviously;
Day 2 : will be on Beauty & Makeup – bet you didn’t see that one coming!
Day 3 : will be on Travel – yes I know, I big surprise :).
Day 1 : Quote on Blogging – Oscar Wilde
“Be yourself; everyone else is already taken.”
― Oscar Wilde
When researching the kind of blog you want to create – but this applies really to any creative project such as creating a YouTube channel, writing a book etc…- people often wonder how to go about it. They tend to compare themselves to so and so celebrity blogger and think they have to emulate or act in a similar fashion in order to be successful.
This quote by Oscar Wilde is really inspiring to me. I feel it applies perfectly to new bloggers but also to entrepreneurs/authors, what have you. You can only be yourself. Trying to act differently and donning a mask is not the way to go. You can’t authentically interact with others if you aren’t being true to yourself. People can spot fakes really fast. And in the long run, you are building walls around yourself, you’ll have a harder time to break out of down the road.
I believe everyone is unique and beautiful in his or her own way. We all have qualities and just have to learn to build on those and integrate them into what we do. What are sometimes perceived as flaws, can actually turn out to be the very things that make us stand out and be original. So embrace any quirkiness, freakishness or awkwardness you think you have ! Flaunt it, be proud of it. You need to love yourself if you want to be lovable to others (and love others). Take your so called weakness and turn it into your strength.
Being bi-cultural, I was often a little different in what ever country I happened to be living in. I embraced my difference and used it as a way to stand out and make friends. People can be shy or a little afraid of differences but growing together is a wonderful experience and most people you meet are only waiting to get to know you better.
I also recommend you read The Picture of Dorian Grey, as it relates in interesting ways to what Beauty really is, but I’m getting ahead of myself that topic will be covered tomorrow!
I’ll finish off with another quote from a famous tongue sticking scientist I admire (did I mention I’m a bit of a geek?) :
“A person who never made a mistake, never tried anything new.”
― Albert Einstein
Don’t be afraid to make mistakes, it’s part of being human. Success goes hand in hand with failures, or errors because they make you who you are. You learn through them and do better the next time around. So go ahead, put yourself out there! Be inspired, try something new and daring, and learn and better yourself along the way.
I hope this motivates you to push your limits and blog even more :). What are your favorite quotes on blogging ? Let me know in the comments.
I’d love to chat with you on :

I’m new to blogging, but I’m also a writer, so I really can relate to the whole “being unique” thing. So much is out there in terms of blogs and books and whatnot, but in the end, if you’re being exactly who you are, someone out there is going to like what you have to offer. ❤
