A friend gave me a belated Xmas present in the form of these two nail polishes knowing I am a nail polish junkie :
The first one :
Tickle my France-y by OPI from OPI’s France Collection for Fall 2008.
It’s the perfect nude : a creamy pinky-nude beige with a hint of mauve. If you are looking for a classic, understated color this is the one you’ve been waiting for. It is very flattering on most skin tones. (For reference, I have a light/medium skintone with yellow/neutral undertones). The formula is amazing as with a lot of the OPI range, it spreads very easily across the nail without showing any brush strokes and sets to a creamy shiny finish. It’s slightly translucent with just one coat. It’s opaque in two coats for me and has very minimum chipping after 5 days of wear.
I love this nail polish and highly recommend it !
The second one
Antique Brooch by Ciaté

Ciaté paint pots are definitely in the high end range of polishes at 9£ or 8.50€. They have recently started to sell in Sephoras in France. This polish is on of their best selling glitters. The color is very interesting as it’s not just a straight up gold despite the description by Ciaté : It’s a gold glitter with a sheer rose gold base and pink and gold flecks of different sizes.
The application is very smooth which is rarely the case with most glitter polishes. It also distributes the different sized glitter pieces very evenly throughout your nail bed, so you don’t have to spend time doing it yourself – which by the way is a pet peeve of mine. Go check this polish out !
This nail pot is perfect on it’s own or layered over another color or simply as an accent nail. My favorite combo of the moment is to pair it with OPI’s Tickle my France-y in a glitter french mani.
