My March Favorites – 2016

Hey Everybody!

Hope you had a great month of March but I’m sure all of you are ready for Spring. In Paris the days are longer but it’s still a little cool but we’re getting there.

Nivea BB Cream 6 in 1 – in shade Clair / Light

I’ve been sick this last month so I didn’t feel like wearing any heavy foundations, so I switched to an oldie but a goodie : the Nivea BB (Blemish Balm) Cream.BB Creams are great all in one products that let you skip some steps in your skincare routine without actually skipping them if that makes sense! You don’t need to apply a moisturizer underneath your BB cream it will act as your moisturizer all the while it evens skin tone, refines the appearance of pores and provides a matte effect. As you know I have combination oily skin so a matte effect is really important to me.

This is also very lightweight and your skin doesn’t feel as if it’s wearing anything! It’s perfect for those no make up make up looks or just on days you’re not feeling the best.

MAC Brush Cleanser

IMG_3043

Cleaning your brushes often is a must when doing your make up, I should probably do a blog post on how I keep mine clean. I think you should deep clean your brushes at least once a week, but if you need quick and easy spot cleaning this MAC Brush Cleanser is the way to go! It’s very easy to use and works really well when  you’re rushed for time or a little tired out. Just add a couple drops on a tissue and swirl your brush on it and.. voilà! a freshly cleansed brush in minutes. Another definite plus is that it dries extremely fast even with natural hair bristles (that dry notably slower than synthetic brushes I find). For 10 euros you get 235 ml of product which will last you a long time!

Physician’s Formula : Happy Booster Glow & Mood Boosting Blush in Pink

When you’re feeling under the weather, there’s nothing like a mood boosting Blush that enhances the look of healthy and glowing skin! Add a little life back in your cheeks with a fun and cute blush. My favorite blush when sick is the Physician’s Formula Happy Booster blush. It’s very blendable and gives a soft wash of color while the multi-reflective pearls provide a soft iridescence to your cheeks. It also smells like violets which doesn’t hurt!

The packaging is super cute with little hearts (if a little bulky), and comes with a handy mirror and a little brush. Honestly I don’t think the brush is all that great and I prefer using my MAC 168 large angled contour brush for blush. But if you’re out and about it will do the trick in a pinch.

  1. My 75-year-old mother has used Nivea in some form or another as long as I can remember, and she has the most beautiful skin. She swears by it! I love reading your blog – the posts cheer me up just imagining using some of the products! (Like those gorgeous OPI colours…) 😀
