If you’ve seen my previous Henri Bendel and FollowM posts you know I love jewelry. I also love supporting young and fresh designers as with my previous review on La Basquetteuse. This time I’m bringing you a review on my friend’s jewelry line Lady Pondichery.

She custom makes jewelry with a whimsical touch and vintage feel. I absolutely love this jewlery line. She has a Facebook page, you should definitely go and like as well as an online shop http://www.alittlemarket.com/boutique/ladypondichery.

She’s always been a creative and crafty person every since she was child. She always loved designing things with her own hands. During her maternity leave with time on her hands, she decided to take a leap and  start her own jewelry line. The name comes from her love of the exotic and the nice ring “Pondichery” has to it.

I ordered these adorable pair of dangly star and pearl earrings. I’m in love! They also come with my favorite type of earrings closure : hinged or lever earring clasps, as I find that posts tend to hurt the back of your ears if you keep them on at night and they are slightly harder to put on and take off. The hinge clasps have a hinged piece thence the name that closes back for added security. You don’t chance losing your earrings with those.

The shipment was very fast I got my order in two days! The package was in a nice bubble wrap envelope that easily fits in your mail box and preserve the jewelry pieces from any transportation damage.

The jewelry was delivered in very nice pink wrapping paper closed with a Lady Pondicheri logo sticker, which I thought was a nice touch. She very sweetly included a cloth pin as a little extra. The package even included a cute origami dress! What a great and fun extra!

All in all, I really like this line of affordable jewelry. Each piece is crafted with care and love and you can definitely tell! She doesn’t only sell online, if you can visit France, you’ll find her at local open air arts and crafts markets or designer exhibits in the Paris area. Every year you can find her at the local Xmas markets (a must see in Paris during the holidays check out my post)! I love browsing markets as you never know what little gems you might discover!
