If you read my previous travel posts, you know I’ve been to NYC. A couple of you have asked for a haul of my Sephora shopping. I’d like to give a shout out to one blogger in particular who said she couldn’t wait for the blogposts okaaythen. Her blog is so creative and fun please go check it out! The Sephora VIB sale in the USA is just before the one in France. I’m a VIB member in both countries, are you surprised? So This post will be part of a 2 post series starting with NYC and ending with Paris.

 

Kat Von D : Ink for eyes in Trooper

This is my favorite liquid eyeliner and every time I’m in the States I restock as you can’t find the Kat Von D brand in France (Check out my 2015 Beauty Favorites). It’s waterproof and smudge proof the number one feature I look for in any liquid eyeliner with my combination skin. It’s also very easy to use with perfectly shaped felt tip that tapers down to a very fine point. You can become a cat eye pro in no time at all ! Lastly it is truly the blackest black.

I purchased two of these babies.

Kat Von D : Lip Vixen Duo

This limited edition set comes with a mini lipstick and a liquid lipstick. The liquid lipstick craze is on and I thought I’d jump on the bandwagon, better late then never. I wanted the famous Lolita shade but as use it was already sold out! The Everlasting liquid lipstick is in the gorgeous shade of matte brick red in Outlaw and the Studded Kiss Lipstick is in the shade Noble a matte petal pink nude. It’s a matte look but Kat Von D claims a velvet touch comfort.

These liquid lipsticks are highly pigmented and last a long time on the lips without drying them out too much. They aren’t as moisturizing as some lipsticks but are decently comfortable on the lips (bear in mind my lips are very sensitive and peel quite easily which might not be the case for you).

Urban Decay : Travel size Revolution Lip Gloss in Liar & Anarchy

I love lipgloss almost more than lipstick and I tend to wear it more often too. I’m dying to try these new UD lipglosses. I already own the original Naked lipgloss and enjoy the color and lack of stickiness. They are very pigmented and beautiful.

Tarte : Park Avenue Princess Contour Palette

This palette is very travel friendly for your face powders. It’s Also the perfect shade range for Asian skin. Sometimes bronzers and even blush doesn’t show up on certain asian skins, so this is great find in that regard.

You get a Tarte Amazonian Clay bronzer in Park Avenue Princess. It’s a waterproof and matte bronzer which is not that easy to come by as a lot of bronzers come with shimmer.

You get a Tarte Amazonian Clay blush in Glisten. I love this blush formula, it’s pigmented but not overly so and very blendable. Best of all it’s lasts for up to 12 hours on me ! A feat with my combo skin.

This palette also comes with a highlighter in Champagne. It’s pretty subtle but works wonders and brightening you face.

BB Thickening Hair Spray Dry Spun finish

I already included this puppy in my November Favorites as it is a great item for any hairdo. It actually lives up to its claims. This is the travel size, but I want to pick up the full size next time.

Deborah Lipmann : Nail Varnish in Miss Independant

I’ve heard and read so many good reviews about this nail polish brand that I just had to try it for my self. This polish applies like a dream and doesn’t chip, I do use a fast drying top coat so the long wear must be helped by it (check my Sèche Vite post).

Sephora Favorites : Time to Prime

I love all the Sephora Favorites kits and wish Sephora would come out with them in France. I wanted to pick them up all, but had to be reasonable (yes that can happen…) and chose to focus on primers. I’ll be doing a post some time on my all time favorite primers.

Becca : Shimmering Skin Perfector in Opal

I already own the Shimmering Skin Perfector in Opal in pressed powder form which mad it to my top 2015 Beauty Favorites. I’ve always stayed away from cream products as I was afraid they would make my skin too dewy and generally not stay put with my combo skin. But I caved to the hype and had to get this product. This highlighter is gorgeous, it’s intense without being the least bit shimmery. You can truly achieve a lit from within look.

Boscia: Luminzing Black Mask

This was part of my 100 point perks. I haven’t had the chance to test this one out, but will be sure to let you know my thoughts when I try this out.

Anastasia : Brow Wiz in Medium Ash

This is my favorite brow product of all time. The pen is the perfect size to acheive natural looking brows where you can mimic real hair. I love the consistency which is just waxy enough without being too waxy. It stays put all day, which is a must for any brow product. The spoolie on this double sided product is very easy to use and has mutliple purposes : I use to brush out my brows prior to applying any product then I use it to blend any harsh pen strokes if necessary.

Bite  Luminous Cream Lipstick Duo

Bite makes some of my favorite lip products. They are so creamy and hydrating and just really comfortable to wear. They are also highly pigmented and a single swipe across you lips will leave them with rich and lustrous color.

Nars Velvet Matte Lip Pencil in Cruella and Satin Lip Pencil in Rikugien

I’ve never tried this lip product before so I was ecstatic when I found out it was my Sephora birthday present. This set lets you try two finishes the Satin and the Velvet Matte. I’ll let you know how they wear after trying them out for some time.
